Manuel (Manny) Valerio and Felix Sacerio had a very similar childhood while growing up in the town of West New York, NJ. Although, they attended different elementary schools; they both attended Memorial High School and then moved on to New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) in pursue of their engineering degrees. Not only did they share the same experiences throughout their lifetime, but also shared the same ambitions and visions for the future. They both decided to share one more thing, THE SPOT MIX GRILL, a little restaurant by the corner of 54th street and Park avenue. They decided to not just invest in something that would complete one of their personal milestones, but would also contribute to their community as well.

With that being said, Manny and Felix would then utilize their past experiences to their advantage and pursue this venture together. With both Manny's experience in banking and Felix's experience in the restaurant industry; it would make it a dynamic combination with both their engineering backgrounds in order to create the perfect science to manage their restaurant effectively. Today, THE SPOT is just an example of hard work and perseverance, and hopes that it rubs off on any people/students with the same goals.
